Weave Chinese is designed to function on your device. We do not collect personal data. All data is processed and saved locally (learning progress and settings).
Data We Collect
- Learning data (on device): review history, card state (e.g., SRS intervals), lesson progress, and in‑app settings.
- No account data: the app does not require sign‑in during early access.
- No analytics/ads SDKs: we do not include third‑party analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not track you across apps or websites.
How We Use Data
- To schedule reviews (SRS) and remember settings.
- To enable listening and recognition card types on your device.
Storage and Sync
- Your progress and settings are stored locally on the device.
- No cloud sync is performed in early access. If we add optional account‑based sync in the future, it will be opt‑in and documented here.
Tracking and Advertising
- We do not sell or share data for advertising.
- We do not request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission.
Permissions
- Microphone: not requested or required.
- Audio playback: used for listening drills and tone discrimination.
Children’s Privacy
The app is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because data remains on device and there is no tracking, exposure is minimized.
Security
Local data benefits from the protections of your device and operating system. Keep your device up to date and use a passcode for best protection.
Data Retention and Deletion
- All progress and settings remain on your device.
- You can delete the app to remove local data. If a reset function is available in settings, it will erase local learning data.
